Journey to Glory: Think you can Make a Shake?

This post marks the start of my food posts! Now, I've always wanted to do food posts. Just never had the time nor cash to do so. I still don't have the cash - but it suddenly dawned upon me that I'm not young anymore and blah blah blah, I decided to start, right here, right now!

Also, I'm far too busy to form a coherent thought outside of NUS, so... let the pictures speak for themselves :)

I've always imagined a milkshake that has the perfect consistency - not too milky, so that I taste and linger in the vanilla goodness within; not too thick, so that it slides down my throat after I mix it and slide it around my taste palates. And I've had my fair share of excellent milkshakes that were great... Just not quite there yet.

Then, on one of my studying sessions at City Square Mall (near Farrer Park MRT), I chanced upon it. No joke. I would say this comes as close as possible to hitting the sweet spot. Best milkshake in Singapore? Perhaps.

The basic idea behind this milk shake is innovation. What the staff do is get up early in the morning to whip up some excellent home-made vanilla ice cream. The rest is up to the customer. One can choose 1-2 toppings to add, and the staff will blend it nicely into a smooth mixture for you. To play safe, you can always try the pre-tried and tested recipes shown in the picture above. My personal favorite is the Marshela - Nutella and Marshmallows mixed into one chocolatey, chunky shake!

I think the best part is that hard ingredients (such as candy) are ground and mixed in as well, giving an extra element to the taste. Curious, isn't it?

I've tried a few flavors so far: Marshmallow + Nutella, Mango + Jelly Beans, Breakfast Tea + M&M Nuts, and Nutella + Kinder Bueno + Marshmallow. The pictures don't do the shakes justice, though (blame the photographer - me). But trust me when I say that each has its own eclectic, unique flavor.
